Lucey and Wright give evidence to the Tribunal

This morning Mr. G.V. Wright, a member of Dublin and Fingal County Council from 1985 to 1993, admitted to the Tribunal that he neglected to inform them that he received a political donation from lobbyist Frank Dunlop of 2,000 pounds during the Local Elections of June 1991.

He also omitted a donation from Mr. Dunlop of 5,000 pounds and another of 5,000 from land developer Owen O’Callaghan in the run up to the General Election in November, 1992. Mr. Wright received one of these payments wrapped in a newspaper in the Dail bar.
