Ms. Carruth exchanged sterling amounts for pounds and lodged them into Ahern’s bank accounts

GRAINNE CARRUTH broke down during cross-examination by Des O’Neill SC today.
After two days of vigourous questioning, Bertie Ahern’s former constituency secretary admitted that she had lodged 15,500 sterling into Mr. Ahern’s accounts.

The so-called ‘B/T’ account’s treasurers, Murphy (right) & Dillane claimed to have no knowledge of documentation for any of the trust’s yearly meetings since 2001
Dominic Dillane & J.J. Murphy answered questions about the ‘B/T’ account, an account set up by Tim Collins who was also the sole signatory for the account.

This morning Mr. G.V. Wright, a member of Dublin and Fingal County Council from 1985 to 1993, admitted to the Tribunal that he neglected to inform them that he received a political donation from lobbyist Frank Dunlop of 2,000 pounds during the Local Elections of June 1991.
